Welcome to Breaking Bands Festival - awarded Grassroots Festival of the year 2023 at the UK Festival Awards. Launched in 2015 by four music fans, the Breaking Bands Festival has become a household name in the underground rock and metal scene.

We are looking for UK-based original rock, punk and metal bands to perform a 40-minute opening set on Saturday 25th or Sunday 26th May 2024. The chosen acts will receive a performance fee to put towards travel costs, and weekend tickets to the festival.

Now in its ninth year, the festival has already sold 95% of its ticket allocation, and will sell out just as it has each previous year. The great thing about being first on the bill, is that everyone is already on site (camping) and ready to kick start their day. This is your chance to set the bar for all the bands that follow, over what will be a killer weekend of live music.
